Are there any priority seats on board for the use of passengers with reduced mobility?
If desired, passengers with reduced mobility can reserve their seat type (except for seats near the emergency exits). Passengers who are completely immobile are automatically assigned a window seat on the aircraft.
An international aviation regulation states that people, with any physical disorder whatsoever, can never be seated near an emergency exit (these are the seats that offer more leg space). This was determined based upon safety considerations with regard to the potential evacuation of the aircraft. Even if you present a medical certificate, we cannot allow this.
Passengers with reduced mobility may not occupy seats where their presence:
- interferes with cabin crew carrying out their duties correctly.
- impedes access to emergency equipment.
- hinders emergency evacuation of the aircraft.
