What are the guidelines for travelling during pregnancy?
Until when are you allowed to fly?
- Up to 36 weeks of pregnancy (for a single baby)
- Up to 32 weeks of pregnancy (for multiple babies)
- Flying is not permitted from 37 weeks onwards
What documents do you need?
- Up to 28 weeks: no medical certificate required
- From 29 to 36 weeks: medical certificate required
About the medical certificate:
- Must be in Dutch, French or English
- Must confirm that there is no risk to the pregnancy or premature birth
- Must not be older than 8 days at the time of departure
- Does not need to be submitted to TUI fly in advance
- Must be presented during checks at the airport
TUI fly or the carrier may always ask to see your medical certificate before your flight departs.
